Gnaarf : Dreamwalker alt version

Lounge Lizard, Smokey bar, laid back dark noir Jazz is the overall feeling for “Gnaarf- Dreamwalker” the alternative version.

You could be sat at the bar of a Prohibition-era Speakeasy with a shot of Bourbon on the rocks and your favourite fat Cuban Cigar, relaxed but never fully relaxed.

The tinkling of the ivory’s, the slow whisper of a Trumpet lets this track trickle along like a mountain stream, the unintentional lazy pace is something to savour as you crunch on a Bourbon flavoured ice cube and take a long cool drag of your Cuban Cigar.

This track by the Austrian band Gnaarf is track 5 on their latest pre-order album “Smoke and Mirrors” to be released on 3rd October. Dreamwalker features the New York based Trumpeter and composer Michael Sarian. There are 3 other pre-order tracks on the album, “Schein und Trug” featuring the Saxophone of Richard Davies from London, the track sounds like its set to the riff on Link Wray’s classic “Rumble”.

The next pre-release is the self-titled track “Smoke and Mirrors” a less moody affair with light airy melodic piano in a higher pitched key that works wonderfully well amongst the dark noir jazz to lighten the mood.

Track 6 after “Dreamwalker” is the last of the pre-order releases to wet our appetite “Uncertain Terrain” is another wonderful display of Richard Davies Saxophone, sexy, velvety, atmospheric a really gorgeous track.

This album is well worth the pre-order now and will be well worth the wait for the full album in October.
